The numbers from his last start out looked more like what we expect from Stephen Strasburg.
The Washington Nationals’ rookie sensation looked much sharper Sunday in his second start following his three-week stay on the disabled list for shoulder stiffness. Strasburg fanned seven hitting and did not walk a batter in five innings, allowing just one run while taking a no-decision in Washington’s 5-3 home victory over Arizona. (Read More…)

The Washington Nationals have placed pitching phenom Stephen Strasburg on the disabled list.
Strasburg experienced tightness in his shoulder while trying to warm up in the bullpen for his latest start.
The team scratched him from his schedule start and had him undergo an MRI and X-rays, both of which came back negative.
The Nationals want to exercise extreme caution with their prized young right-hander, and he already had an innings limit anyway. (Read More…)
